On the afternoon of March 1st, the Department of Physics convened a workshop to revise the 2024 version of the professional talent training program. Attendees included the head of the Physics Department, Shang Xuefu, Deputy Heads Dai Hailang and Lü Cuihong, teacher representatives, and student representatives from the class of 2021. The symposium was chaired by Shang Xuefu.

First, Head Shang introduced the actual situation, significance, and importance of revising the training program, emphasizing the importance of this revision for better adapting to the development of the discipline and enhancing students' overall qualities. He expressed his hope that all teachers and students would actively participate and work together in the revision process.

Some teachers and student representatives then provided their opinions and suggestions on the 2020 version of the training program. The student representatives noted that the overly concentrated course schedule poses significant challenges for sophomore students, and they suggested a more balanced arrangement of courses in the new training program. They also offered feedback on elective course selection and scheduling, stating that the current arrangements make it difficult to meet graduation credit requirements, often necessitating additional study to fulfill these requirements. Teacher representatives focused on the scheduling of professional courses and skills training for future educators, offering opinions on educational quality and training objectives.

Through this discussion on revising the professional talent training program, the revised program will become more scientifically rigorous and standardized, helping to further optimize the professional layout and enhance the quality of talent cultivation, ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of the revision work.
